Scotch Points

Scotch is a points based game where you earn points for various achievements.  Typically there are points for Low Ball, Low Team, Birdies and Closest to the Pin.

Overview

Scotch is the most played game among foursomes, it can be played in a variety of forms, but the most common is Six Point.

Foursomes are split into teams of two who compete for points on each hole.  Points are awarded for Low Team score, Low Individual score, Birdies (or better) and Closest to the Pin.  There is also the concept of a "Blitz" if one team wins all the available points - the amounts are doubled.

Scotch is a lively game with lots of moving parts, great way to keep things interesting for your foursome.

How to Play

Each player records their score relative to par on each hole.  Points are awarded for:

  • Low Team Score

  • Low Individual Score

  • Birdie (or better)

  • Closest to the Pin (in regulation)

Players tally their points throughout the round.​​  The winner is the team with the most points at the end of play.

Settings & Adjustments

Points can be adjusted for:

  • Low Team Score

  • Low Individual Score

  • Birdie (or better)

  • Closest to the Pin (in regulation

An amount per point can be can set as desired.

The ability to implement "Blitz" point is selectable.
