Setting up an Event in Marker

A Marker Event is simply a collection of scorecards.  Marker was designed for people that run regular multi-group competitions and want to track scores, have a real-time leaderboard, and calculate wagers.  Below we'll walk through the basics of setting up an event.  The basic steps are, create the event (select course and tees), add players, create scorecards and finally configure the games.

From the home screen, tap the “Host Event” button to begin setting up your event. Start by selecting the course where the event will take place.

You will see a list of the courses you have recently played which you can choose from or you can search for a new course from the USGA database.

We are going to hold this event at Torrey Pines so we type that in the search bar and select from the returned results.

In this case we see that Torrey Pines actually has two courses so we further select one.  For this example we are going to play the South course so we tap on that selection and move on.

This is where we can give the event a unique name and select the date the event will be played.  We'll call this one "GoLowFriday".

EventDate.png

Tap in the "Event Date" to bring up the calendar and select the day for the event.  In this example we chose April 25, 2025.  Tap "Done".

We have selected our course, named the event and set the date.  Now we tap "Save" and are ready to start configuring the Event.
